Hao is an Assistant Professor at the School of Business Administration, Hitotsubashi University. Prior to joining Hitotsubashi, she held Assistant Professor positions at the School of Business, University of Leicester (UK), and the Research Institute for Economics and Management, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (China). Her research spans corporate finance, entrepreneurial finance, and financial technology, with a particular focus on how emerging issues and technologies are reshaping the traditional financial landscape. Her work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Banking & Finance, the Journal of International Money and Finance, and the Journal of Empirical Finance. In teaching, Hao delivers courses in entrepreneurial finance, financial technology, and corporate finance.
